Nobody goes to the airport to dine but a lot of people end up eating there while waiting for a flight. The good news is that American airports have improved their offerings and it turns out that Phoenix Sky Harbor is getting high marks for its culinary options.
RewardExpert, a frequent-flier website, ranks Sky Harbor second on its list of the top 20 U.S. airports for dining. Denver checked in at No. 1. Atlanta, Philadelphia and Houston are the other three in the top 5 for first-class cafes.
Sky Harbor, with nearly 5,500 reviews tallied, had the highest quality score per reviewer and is the fourth least expensive airport for dining.
RewardExpert named Chelsea’s Kitchen, Cowboy Ciao and Wildflower Bread Co. as a few of the dining gems available at Sky Harbor.
RewardExpert used Yelp ratings and pricing data, Zagat ratings, JD Power ratings and healthiness scores from the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine to rank the airports.
