The par-3 16th, enclosed by grandstands and skyboxes, attracts close to 20,000 fans who crowd around the short fairway to cheer and jeer the golfers.
It is without a doubt the rowdiest hole on the PGA Tour. Many players embrace the atmosphere and even coax the fans to get louder as they prepare to hit their tee shots, something that is completely out of the norm in the staid world of golf.
It's all part of the Phoenix Open party atmosphere with more than 600,000 fans turning out for the weeklong tournament.
Get their early in the morning to get the best seats at 16 or you may have to wait in line for 30 minutes or more to get into the 16th bleachers. Better yet, work your business associates to get VIP pass into one of the skyboxes at the 16th hole.
Last year the Open set an attendance record with 200,000 fans on Saturday alone. Par-tee time in Scottsdale.
